In the cafeteria at Rockwell High school, students ate in groups. All the smart kids sat together, the band kids ate in a pack, the artists huddled lazily over their food, and the lacrosse players alternated between eating and throwing grapes at the smart kids.
“Wow,” said Sam, sitting with the other popular girls, “The lacrosse players are so mature.” She took a hairbrush out of her bag and brushed her long brown hair. Across the table, her best friend Elise reapplied her lipstick, outlining her lips carefully before looking up at the lacrosse players and laughing.
“I’m so glad we eat at this table,” said Elise, smoothing her pink skirt and taking a bite of her salad. “Can you imagine eating with them?” Elise pointed at a table across the cafeteria where a group of girls sat. Unlike Elise and Sam, who spent lunch repainting their nails and fixing their make-up, these girls edited each other’s homework and talked about books they were reading.
“I know,” said Sam, “Those girls are so cool. I wish I could be like them.” She rolled her eyes and continued brushing her hair. Elise laughed and returned to her lunch, admiring her perfect pink fingernails as she took a sip of soda.

Sam is the character that uses alot of sarcasm. One example of sarcasm that she used was when she said "The lacrosse players are so mature". This is an example of sarcasm because it clearly shows how Sam was mocking the Lacrosse players by saying that they were the complete opposite of being fully grown or developed. By that she meant that they were acting very childish for throwing grapes and food at other people. This example of sarcasm shows that this character is very wise in a way, she is sophisticated. She uses sarcasm to show her wordly knowledge of maturity and immaturity.

d.well what i think this say's about my character is that she's a bossy girl she has a snotty attitude and no one like's her but the girls that follow up behind her.but she also think it's okay to talk about people behind their backs but i don't think so. she's a mean, snotty, uptight, bossy,stuck up,rediculous girl beause she doesn't think everyone is suppose to be treated fairly because of what they know and how they look
