This week's blog post will be slightly different. Due to the special nature of NWEA week, I thought it would be appropriate for you to produce a different sort of blog post for class. It's not secret that the expectation is for you to read in your Independent Reading book every single day...no exceptions. It is also expected that you will read for an hour or more EACH DAY. With that in mind, I would like you to consider the following:
Why is it so important for you to read so much and so often?

It is very important to read every night because you need to expand your vocabulary. When say expand your vocabulary,I mean that when people read, they read new words and learn new things. For example, say that I am reading a non-fiction book about tigers. I will learn that not only is the tigers fur stripped, but also it's skin. I would be able to have learned that without reading. Another reason why it is important to read is because you need to expand you vocabulary. When I read, I learn new words that I haven't heard of before. Plus, using what I know about using context clues,I can figure out the meaning of the word. For example, I am reading a book called "Deep, Dark, Danger". There is a word, increase. Say I don't know the meaning of the word. The sentence is "When the sun comes out, the light is increased, or should I say there is more of". I would have the idea that increase means to make bigger or to maximize somthing.
I can learn to pronounce new words thats hard for me to say, even though I am the smartest girl in the world. A-hem. Anyway, I would be able to learn it and not to forget it. These are reason why reading is important

I think it is very important that you read every night because it expands your mind. When you read every night, not only are you learning to be a better dedicated learner, but you're ability to flawlessly read gets better, too. For example: When I first got to Morton, my reading level in Mr.Smith's class was an x. I started to try and reach a level z so me, my parents, and Mr.Smith could be proud. I try to read every night, no matter what, I try. Because I read so much, me and my sister Karyn read the most books out of our whole class, maybe even the whole middle school!! Now, I'm a level Y and just finished yet ANOTHER one of Mr. Smith's wonderful books. A level Y isn't exactly where I want to be, but I'm getting to my goal. All because I read. When I have a good book, I read doing laundry, taking a bath lol, going to bed, sitting in the living room, dining room, kitchen, wherever, whenever. Just try it!! Read every night aloud, or to yourself and watch your reading level jump sky high!! The next time Mr. Smith tests you for reading, you'll have everyone in shock! Trust me, I know.
It's important for me to read much and so often because it will increase my vocabulary and improve my frequency as well as my understanding of what i just read.i noticed that every since i started to read more at home, i went up a reading level. and learned how to read with a "flow" which improved my understanding of what i read.that shows the more you read, the better the better reader you become.
I think it is important to read everyday because it helps your brain develope more each time and increases your vocabulary. Since we started independent reading my vocabulary has increased and I have learned some big words in the process. Also reading each day does help you to become a better reader. To tell you the truth I think the reason I exceeded on my Reading NWEA is because 1.Mr.Smith said he would stop being so belligerent about my reading etc. 2.I did read everyday which got me to think and become a better reader,Therefore when I took the test I was nervous but ready.So reading can help you both meantally and physically.
I believe it is very important for students to read everyday because reading boosts your intelligence level & your test scores. Before I started reading in my free time I always got C's on reading test but now that I read everyday I got one of the highest B's on my reading test. If you don't read for a long time period like over a summer for example, you will forget lots of stuff. I know this because once I went a whole summer without reading and got a C on my test at the beginning of the school year. If you read all the time you will become a reader & then you will soon exceed in probably every subject.

it is important to read every night because by reading you will increase your learnig. i know this becaus last year i read and got a high score on nwea in the winter. but in the fall i got really low cause i didnt read and that got to off track. reading every night is not for someone else its for yourself
It's important to read because reading helps you increase your vocabulary. I know this because I have been reading a lot this week and I found a lot of my vocabulary words in book which is catching fire. When I finally sat down and took the NWEA reading I saw words that was in my book and my vocab list I get each week and the test started to get easier to me. By that being said I encourage you to read more.
THE REASON WHY WE READ SO MUCH IS SO WE CAN. CAN LEARN NEW WORDS THAT WE NEVER KNEW BEFORE. WE ALSO READ TO LEARN TO READ BETTER THAN WE ALREADY READ.LIKE BEFORE I WAS READING AT A LOW READING LEVEL AND NOW IM READING AT A SIXTH GRADE READING LEVEL. ALSO ITS IMPORTANT TO READ SO WE CAN LEARN NEW THINGS.
the reason it is important to read every day is because you can get a better understanding of things people need to know.it is a known fact that is you read every day that you get smarter. when people read books they start learning new words and things that they never heard about before. people will start to know way more things thats why its important to read often
There are many reasons why it is important for me to read so much and often.One of those reasons why it is important for me to read so much and so often is because,when you read more the words in your book enriches your mind with a new one.I think this because,there are some words in the book that may seem hard to understand but as you keep reading/look at the words around the word, you'll find more examples that tell you the meaning of that word,like if you have a challenging word in your book like casual and you don't know what that means and you as you keep reading the next word that comes after that is wednesday,and then you think and say to yourself if it's ''casual Wednesday"and casual means like the way a person dresses and Wednesday is a day,you say to yourself that could be a day where people where clothes that they usually don't wear.This is an example of why you should read so much and so often,because you'll find so many things you never knew were real things.

Its important for students to read so much and so often because it helps them get better at being a great(good) readers I also think that students at morton should read so much and so often is because everywhere in the world has somrthing to do with reading so thats why i think its important to read so much and so often.
It is so important for me to read so often because it help's your vocabulary and keep your mind stimulated.I know this because the more I help my little brother read the more he understand and knows about it the next time we read.An explanation is when kids come to Morton uneducated Mr.smith tells us to read books we understand so when its time we comprehend more and go up a level.
well there are many reasons why you should read as often as you can.one of them for me is that when you read as often you are bettering yourself and you are more likely to do better in school get better grades and you will understand all of your homework .i know for a fact that when i read more often i do more better on everything. so thats why it is veary important to read so much and so often as you
can because when you do you can do more then you think you can do.just by reading.
There are many reasons of why u should read and one reason is it is the secret key to education and the other reason is you can reading is the key to education and is the key to your dream and my dream is going to IOWA or NORTHWESTERN universitys but i am goin to make sure that i read be for i do that so i can acomplish my goal and reading helps u with all subjects not one but all,randybooker.
It is soooo important to read so much because when you read it helps you better in life..Reading is one of the best things in life.if you cnt read how are you gonna (speak)talk to anyone.if you dnt know how to read then how are you gonna know how to spell and if you dnt know ow to spell then you arent gonna get know where in life.Reading-Spelling-speaking 5years old and dnt know how to spell iknow how to speak.And i dnt know how to spell either..It doesnt make sense.For example:i had to do a Harlem Renaissence on Bessie smith she was a famous singer but she was so talented,Bessie smith didnt know how to read she had to learn.But i dnt get it in order fo you to speak you have toknow how to read.........THE END!
i think reading is so important because it helps you get a good job and get into a good high school.but if you dont know to read you just can try or use braille. thats why i think reading is so important.
The reasson it is so important to read so offten is so you can get a better understanding of the things you are reading if you dont understand what you are reading it will be boring.The reasson i say this is because when you dont know what you are reading you dont care about it and when you dont care about it you dont learn anything new.To me the things you have to do to be a succesfull reader are predict and revise, ask questions, react to the text, and build a relationship with the character if you follow thoses easy steps you will be a succesfull reader and reading everyday will be a pice of cake to you.

it is important for you to read because it increase your knowledge and help you learn bigger words reading at an higher reading level laerning and gaining words you know and you you read oftenly to refresh your mind and helps you with increasing your reading scores amking you read with influency and helping you be able to make you remember what you just read making your brain easier to store your memory of what you just read so when you take the isat you can remember what you learned out of the book you read that showed the info they used on the test and thats why its important to do your reading and to read oftenly
There are alot of reasons why you as a reader should read so much and so often.One reason is so that you can have a better understanding on what you are reading.For example if you dont read very often your most likely hurting youself because the more you read the more you learn.If you are a good reader and read everyday you will have a better understanding in vocabulary words and what they mean.Reading helps you alot and its a great thing to do when your bored.One time i was in my reading class and i was a level U and i use to never read very often and when i took my book level test i didnt do very well, so i decided to read more and when i took my next test i went from a level U to a level W and that was great improvment.Thats why reading is so important and if you ask me, thats something you should do everyday. from: chrissy feliciano
The Reason Reading Is Important Because It Helps Increase Your Learning.It Gives You The Ability To Do Things.Reading Is The Most Important Thing Through Out Life Because That's Something Your Suppose To Know Your Whole Life.
It's important to read because it helps increase your knowledge.I know this because my first year in junior high I was at a reading level "T" ever since I started reading twice as much and am now a level "X" and I finished 4 books.The reason why I said this is because I was Like a #1 slowest reader last year.
I THINK IT IS IMPORTANT TO READ ALL THE TIME AND OFTEN BECAUSE THAT WOULD GET YOU USED TO READING. I think that it is important to read because when you read new words go into your vocabulary and also when you read you get better at it and you will learn much more example here is a word opinion here are text clues to figure out what the word means opinions are not always right so I will say it it just what you think it is not a true fact

It is important to read more & more every nigh so we can get a hihger readding level so we can get to the orange line.My evidence is that the more we use the skills you teach us such as predict and revise ,relationship and react the easier it will be on nwea and the faster we get to the orange line

one of my reasons i picked was it makes you a better reader.my evidence is everyday mr.smith says "as a reader you need to read everyday and at lest 20-30 pages" and i followed his at vise and now im becoming abetter reader every day and im building up my vocabulary.THANK YOU MR.SMITH!!!!!
